yes, fruits and stevia are excellent options based on health. as for substitutions, stevia is very concentrated and has a bit of an aftertaste, so beware when you substitute it in recipes :) taste as you go…
glad you are being conscious about where your raw food intentions are coming from. :) move towards divine health always!

i am unsure which type was used in the study where people got negative results. i have also heard that there is no such thing as truly raw agave. but the time it ships here on hot trucks in the summer from south america (the trucks can hit 140 degrees or more), the agave is no longer living. it is also processed with enzymes and stuff, so is not like a truly raw, unaltered product. but i would think that the raw is less processed and a better health choice, in any case :)

From doing a lil research, I think I’m going to stick with fruits and stevia rather than agave. From what I found, I could substitute stevia for agave (for the RHP cookbook recipes!!) Also, (just to update) I had a bit of spaz session today in thinking about getting a food processor. I’m raw for lent, but if I’m honest, it’s an ed thing too. I need to be eating more. Thanks, as always. Intuition attempting! :)

is there any data on which form (raw or cooked) that people who got bad results used?

  5. RawHealingPatch says:

yes, we have viewers that span all types of backgrounds, not just raw foodists.

  6. GreylinRose says:

everyone needs to have this info – not just raw foodists – everyone – please spread the word

  7. RawHealingPatch says:

thanks for the input… :) yes, lucuma is delicious!

  8. rawmark says:

raw lucuma powder. yumm. Or, dates, stevia. No nasty raw honey. It is not vegan and bees die whenever humans screw around and try to collect it.

  9. RawHealingPatch says:

dates are perfect! thanks! we love them!

  10. mkdavids says:

dates are a great natural sweetner too! and they work great in many raw desserts…or just eat ‘em straight up! =)

  11. RawHealingPatch says:

perhaps with overuse or in extreme cases, but with moderate or small use, I have not read any research that this happens often. but good for people to know it can potentially happen and best to stay away from agave if possible :)

  12. faulconandsnowjob says:

agave contains saponins, which can cause miscarriage

  13. RawHealingPatch says:

I’ve been using “Raw” Agave, and really enjoy it. Since i’m a Vegen i choose not to eat honey (at the time in my life) Keyword : at this time. Agave is cool for me.

  19. RawHealingPatch says:

follow directions on the bottle. not cinnamon flavor extract like for baking, but the medicinal kind you would find in a health food store vitamin/herb section. you can use drops if you get tincture or just a capsule with water if you get the pill form. :) hope it helps.

  20. 1ShaolinStyle says:

Thats sound like a great idea, should I mix the extract with water? or just put a few drops in my mouth. Thank you so much for the excellent info……Much Love

apparently there are some truly raw oats. they look like the flat oatmeal as if it was rolled up. i have not called the companies to find out if it is truly raw or how it is processed, so not sure. i think the oats that are flat (like oatmeal) are the ones that have been heated. i have to research this more…thanks for the ideas. talk soon… love

  25. RawHealingPatch says:

hey, thats great that you are no longer drinking, bravo! :) that is amazing! also, the sweetness craving may also be based on blood sugar levels, etc.. not just the drinking issue. one thing you can do is take cinnamon extract before a meal and perhpas just after if needed. it helps sugar/carbs get into the cell to be bruned up instead of floating through the bloodstream and reduces sugar cravings. carrot juice also reduces cravings. keep up the nice work! :)
